The system's components include anodized aluminum or plastic strips that sit at tile edges, corners, and transitions. These profiles protect the underlying substrate (drywall, cement board, or subfloor) from moisture and mechanical damage while creating a clean visual line where tiles meet walls, floors, or other materials.
